Escape the city and discover the cultural and natural richness of Montserrat on this half-day small group tour from Barcelona. Travelling in air-conditioned private transport, we’ll enjoy scenic views on the way to this iconic mountain and monastery — one of Catalonia’s great symbols.

With our early access entry, you’ll explore Montserrat Abbey and Basilica before the crowds arrive, including a close-up view of the famous Black Madonna (La Moreneta). Your official, passionate guide will bring the history of this pilgrimage site to life during a 45-minute guided tour.

Afterwards, enjoy two hours of free time to make Montserrat your own — visit the museum, taste the monks’ homemade liquor, hike to the Saint Miguel Cross, or ride the Sant Joan Funicular for panoramic views. We’ll return to central Barcelona by early afternoon, having experienced one of the region’s most breathtaking destinations.

What our customers say

TRIPADVISOR
“Our tour to Montserrat was great! The tour was very informative and we learned a ton. I really liked that they walked us around for a bit when we first arrived and then gave us about an hour to explore by ourselves. The guides, Francesco and MK were so knowledgeable and friendly. Our bus also had great air conditioner as well, which was a plus in the summer heat.”

“We had a fantastic family day trip with the visit to Monteserrat and the winery tour. Xavi was an incredible guide, very warm, informative, friendly, a generous host, caring and knowledgeable with not just the places we visited but also as a somelier for the wine tasting and tour of the winery. Moreover, his passion, knowledge and hospitality made our day as it was our experience of Catalan culture, warmth and hospitality.
